Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act
In effect since July 31, 2025, for businesses that handle data on 100,000 or more Minnesota consumers, or on 25,000 or more while earning over 25% of gross revenue from selling it. SBA-defined small businesses are exempt except that they need consent before selling sensitive data. The law also gives consumers a right to question decisions made about them by profiling. Your attorney confirms whether it applies to you.
